Where is the best diving in Dubai and the UAE?

Whilst you can scuba dive or snorkel off the coasts of six out seven of the Emirates (Al Ain is the only landlocked Emirate), Fujairah is without question the home to the best dive sites in the UAE. Unlike the other Emirates whose coasts lie in the Arabian Gulf, the East Coast Emirate of Fujairah lies on the shores of the Indian Ocean and home to an abundance of tropical marine life.

Fujairah’s dive sites stretch along the East Coast between the towns of Khor Fakkan and Dibba. The Al Aqah Beach in particular is situated at the forefront to the UAEs best dive and snorkeling sites and provides a base to our East Coast Dive Center at the Le Meridien Al Beach Resort and Spa where we have been positioned since the opening of the Resort in late 2002. The center can be reached by a scenic, ninety minute drive from Dubai with travelers enjoying views of the UAE desert, Hajar Mountains via a brand new highway and finally the coast as you reach Khor Fakkan and Al Aqah. Our Fujairah dive center offers a full range of PADI courses with training dives conducted in the Resorts pool (the biggest freeform swimming pool on the East Coast), off the beach and by our speed boats to a selection of stunning coral reefs and two house wrecks. Weather permitting we offer daily dive trips for experienced divers, beginners and snorkelers. We recommend staying over-night at the Resort and enjoying the pool, beach, great choice of facilities, restaurants and views as every room looks over the Ocean. Our dive center in Jumeirah, Dubai functions as our primary training facility for a wide selection of PADI dive courses. With two onsite swimming pools our Jumeirah dive center is not far from Dubai’s favorite beaches. It’s common for those who are resident in Dubai or perhaps on holiday to complete any pool and beach training from our Jumeirah dive center with open water training at our East Coast center where they can explore the UAE’s best coral reefs. You will find our main dive shop, call center and workshop within our Jumeirah “Aqua Center”.
